Mountain climbing also known as mountaineering is a sport, hobby or profession of hiking, skiing and climbing mountains which is largely practiced in Sri Lanka. The sport of climbing mountains is simply one of the finest outdoor opportunities available to the lover of high places especially among the luscious and tropical ranges of mountains found in the hill areas of Sri Lanka.
